About

I am a doctoral candidate in anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center researching questions of rain and water in the Uluguru Mountains of Tanzania. My work focuses on the intersections of environment, gender, and religion in one of the most important water catchments in East Africa.

I am a Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellow in Women’s Studies, a Dissertation Writing Fellow at the the Center for Place, Culture and Politics and a member of the editorial collective of Barricade. I am also a graduate fellow, web developer, and researcher at the Futures Initiative, and have previously served as a Research Associate at Sokoine University of Agriculture.
